Nothing Is Worth More Than This Day

So last night as I was updating our blog and I came across some pictures.

As soon as I saw them, I immediately felt sad.  It's hard to believe after seeing these pictures that I'm alive.  But then I thought of all the amazing things that came out of this accident.  I know, it sounds crazy to think that something positive can come out of something so negative.  But really, it's true!  First and foremost I'm so thankful to have such a kind and loving husband.  If you don't know John, he is the most selfless person I know!  He gave up his life to cater to my every need. He literally carried me everywhere for almost 4 months.  He was there through it all and he continues to be there still.  He truly is amazing!  I still don't know how he put up with me and my demands for that long, but he hung in there!!  Luckily for John, he got to leave during the day to go to work!  That's when my amazing family would step in!  First I have to say how grateful I am for my Grandma Yvonne!  She is another one of my angels that I don't know what I would do without.  If it wasn't for her, I'm not sure John and I would have survived.  She cleaned, she cooked, and she did the laundry!!  Not only that, but she made sure that I was taken care of during the day.  The days that she wasn't available, my mom, aunts, sisters, and mother in law were there to make sure that John and I had the support we needed.  Also, for the rest of my my family that I didn't mention above; you all are truly amazing and I'm so thankful to have everyone of you in my life.  I'm not sure if I tell you all enough, but I love you more than anything.  Thank you for always being there for me no matter how big or small the problem may be.  The biggest thing I have taken from the accident, other than some cool scars is that attitude is everything!  Being mad or sad about something isn't going to make it better.  Life is about choices and we choose to react positively or negatively to situations.  Sure, I could still be sitting around feeling sorry for myself.  But Why?  Life is too short to have regrets.  You never know when your time is up, so why not live for today?  Remember, "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it!"

It's Official!!!!!

We're going to the Caribbean!  October 19th we leave out of Miami and head to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten!  I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!  We're cruising with Royal Caribbean.  John wanted to experience Freedom of the Seas, the same ship I cruised on in February when I went with Heather.  Freedom is currently the largest and most innovated ship on the sea.  That is until Genesis sets sail in 2009!  I'm mostly looking forward to relaxing with a lovely mango colada in my hand, John is the most excited for the FLOWRIDER.  I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time getting him off of it!!

Our First Blog

Seriously, I don't know what we were thinking!!  John and I thought it would be nice to have some flower beds in our backyard.  So, we both took Friday off to pull up the sod.  We didn't think it would be a big deal.  Let's just say we started at 8:00, and we're still not done!!  Not to mention, we've already spent $800.00 and we haven't even bought anything to put in our flower beds!!  We were both so sore on Saturday that we had a hard time walking (we all know that isn't unusual for me though)!!  We'll keep you posted on the progress we make.  Needless to say, we are still very excited!
