Hooray for Coldplay!!!

For those of you who don't know, my company is a huge supporter of the United Way.  Every year we have a United Way week where they have huge auctions and donate thousands and thousands of dollars to the United Way.  Well last year I bought a basket that had a night stay at Hotel Monaco and a $200 dollar gift card to the Energy Solutions Arena.  I didn't want to buy Jazz tickets, cause that's lame!  For me anyway.  John would have loved it, but that's not what I wanted to buy. So I waited and waited.  Thankfully, Ashly told me Coldplay was coming in November.  I love Coldplay.  That's one of the things on my bucket list, see Coldplay in concert!!  Well, with the ESA gift certificate, you have to go down to the box office.  I've never done this before.  John had a few softball games yesterday so I had to go by myself.  I don't like to go anywhere by myself, especially down town!  I'm kind of a chicken!  But I did.  Boy oh boy were there some interesting folk among the crowd.  I overheard one guy say he has the Criket cell phone plan because he needs the unlimited minutes for his drug dealing.  If you saw this guy you would know he wasn't just saying this to get a stir out of people.  Then there was this one guy who wouldn't stop talking to me.  I'm a very social person, I'll talk to anyone.  I get this from my dad.  But this guy gave me the creeps!  He was probably a really nice guy, but I'm a girl downtown by myself, not happening!!  I kept giving him one word answers.   Anyway, not a lot of people go to the box office to buy tickets.  There was only about 30 of us.  I was 7th in line.  Let me tell you, this is the way to buy tickets!!!!!  I'm a fan club member for Keith Urban.  I bought tickets in February 07 for his show in September 07.  I bought them before they went on sale to the public.  I got upper bowl seats for Keith Urban.  Well, I got 9th row tickets for Coldplay and they had pre sale tickets go on sale on June 14th.  Maybe it's that Coldplay isn't that popular in Utah, but I just don't think that's the case.  Whatever, I'm super excited for November 22!!  Oh and if you haven't bought or downloaded Viva La Vida yet, I highly recommended it!

Poor Barkley

My little man has already had quite the week and it's only Tuesday.  As most of you who read our blog know, we had to take Barkley to the doggie ER on Sunday because we thought my aunt's dog bit him and broke his leg.  He was so dramatic, acting like he couldn't walk!!  When they were weighing him he wouldn't even stand up, he just kept falling like it hurt too bad.  As soon as the vet walked in, Barkley was fine!!  He was happy and wagging his tail like nothing had happened.  He gives a whole other meaning to SHITzu!!  On Saturday I noticed his eye was bugging him, so I made an appointment with our vet to get it checked out.  Something poked his cornea, so he has a little dimple in his eye.  Poor baby!  So we have to put eye drops in his eye 4 times a day.  Well, that's a whole other story in it's own if you know how mean he can be when he is restrained!!  I can't believe how emotional I get with my dogs.  I'm going to be insane when we have kids.  Anyway, our little 4 lb shitzu is going to be just fine!!!  Love you Mr. Barkles!!!!!!!

The iMac......

So a few days ago I was ichatting with Ashly, it was the coolest thing ever!! As soon as we were done, my computer started ticking and the icons kept resetting. I shut it down and restarted it. That didn't help. So today, I took it back to the Apple store to see if they could fix it. Have I mentioned that this is the 4th iMac since we bought it in March to give us issues......
Anyways, the genius bar plugged their machine into it and told me that the hard drive was completely dead. How does this happen on a brand new computer??? So, they said they were going to give me another brand new one. They brought out the new one and started to transfer my itunes, pictures, and what not. The computers totally froze. The genius (their word, not mine) helping me told me that has never happened before. I find this funny because they tell us this every time we take our computer back. Well needless to say, the 30 minutes it was supposed to take to get me up and running again, turned into a few day process because they had to fully take apart the old computer to get our information off of it. Weird!! Pain in the butt! I live 45 minutes from the Gateway and now I have to go back on Monday to pick it up!!! Ugh!! So my question is to anyone with a Mac, have you had any issues with them or is it just me??? I guess we'll find out when we get the new one!!!! And just in case you're considering buying one, they are awesome when they work!!!
