Oh My Hell!

Yesterday after hours of Christmas shopping, we came home and started getting our presents ready for the Brigg's 2nd annual White Elephant Christmas Party. Well, I had a candle burning on my kitchen counter. As I was fixing the tissue paper to put in the gift bag, I accidentally flung it on top of the candle. It caught on fire so fast I didn't know what to do. I threw it on the ground and started stomping on it. That didn't put it out. So I started screaming for John to come downstairs. Luckily the fire alarm started going off or I don't think he would have come. Once the tissue paper was all burned up the fire went out. If I would have been thinking logically, I would have ran over to the kitchen sink and put it out with water. But no, I decided to fling it everywhere to try and put it out. So needless to say, it took about an hour to clean up all the ash and I can still smell the smoke. So, if you need a gift idea for me....it sounds like a fire extinguisher might be handy!! Just kidding!

Merry Early Christmas To Me!!

For Christmas John ( I bought it and said he gave it to me) gave me a ticket to go see John Mayer in LA. Renae being the good friend that she is said that she would go with me! Let's just say she's on her way to being just as obsessed as me. Here's the thing, just when I'm on my way to being over him he pulls me right back in!! I will never really be over him. He truly is amazing. So we flew in to LA and took a taxi into downtown. We walked around downtown for a few hours and then decided to take the subway into Hollywood. Just like back in September, it was quite the adventure. But I finally found what I was looking for....Sephora!!!! When I die, Sephora is my heaven. It is the most amazing store ever! If you've ever been to Sephora with me, you know I can spend hours and hundreds!! HaHa!! I'm not kidding! So after walking around for hours...again, I'm not kidding we went back to the hotel to get ready for the concert. When we got there, we decided we needed a drink. As we were standing in line I noticed a group of people around this guy. So I kept watching...it was Bob Saget. AKA: Danny Tanner! I got a picture, I'll post it. Then it was time to go to our seats. Our seats were really good. Not as good as they were when I saw him in Salt Lake, but really good. Adele opened for him. You seriously need to download her album. She is amazing. I can see why she is nominated for five grammy's. Then it was time for my lover!! He was up on the stage all by himself. Just John Mayer and his guitar. How do you know if someone is good live? Let me tell you. They sing all by themselves with no one to back them up and they sound amazing! He sang almost all of my favorite songs. Oh and he covered the Coldplay song Lost. I was so excited. I recorded it, but I can't seem to figure out how to upload video so we'll see if that happens. Another favorite part of the concert (sorry if this offends you) is when he said he thinks it's funny when people come up to him and tell him they have sex to his music. He does have some good baby making music if you're trying to get pregnant!! HaHa! John Mayer still is and will always be my favorite. His music has such a positive message. If you're in a bad mood just listen to his lyrics. They are very powerful. Stop This Train and Why Georgia are my favorite songs of his. I listen to them everyday. Listen to them, I promise you won't be disappointed. He is such a positive person and quite the optimist. I can't imagine why I love him!! Right before he sang Why Georgia, he said to the audience how lucky he is. He said that when he looks back on every moment of his life, he's going to look at the hard times and the easy times and know they were all GOOD times. It made me stop and think. How often do we take what we have for granted? Instead of being happy and grateful for what we do have, we think about what we don't have. So this is going to be my New Year's resolution and I challenge you to do the same. Everyday think about something you are grateful for. Stop dwelling on what you don't have. It's a waste of time. Life is too short. I say this all the time and I'm going to say it again. You NEVER know when your life is going to end. So live it up while you're here!! Thanks again John. It was the best Christmas present ever!!
