Sorry For The Delay!

For my birthday, my best friend Adam gave me a buddy pass. He's a pilot for SkyWest. We were going to go to Chicago, but couldn't get a flight out of Salt Lake. When you use buddy passes, you're standby... which sucks! But thanks again Adam!! Anyway, we were going to go to Chicago to see Wicked. So we decided to go to LA and see it instead. It was so much fun. We went to Santa Monica beach and swam with dolphins..(I didn't get in, I'm afraid I'll drowned with my Nemo foot)!! But Adam, Scott, Miles, and Ben all did. It was amazing. I love dolphins. I used to want to be a marine biologist until I learned I would have to touch fish, which I'm afraid of and gave up on that dream! Then we went to a party at one of Scott's friends house who took us to another party in the Hollywood Hills. They seriously had a bartender there catering it...I kept looking around pinching myself to make sure it wasn't a dream. It didn't feel real. It probably didn't help that I was drunk though!! ha ha! A couple hours earlier I was in Herriman Utah and now I'm at a mansion in Hollywood. It was an experience I'll never forget. Then the guys took me to a gay bar in West Hollywood. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. You know it...I peed my pants I was laughing so hard! There were naked dancers everywhere. I thought it was weird that you could touch them. There was this one that looked like the creature from the Lord of the Rings. It ( I say it because I'm not sure what it was) loved getting it's picture taken. My camera died so I'm waiting on the pictures from Miles. Hopefully he reads this and gets them to me soon!! Again, that was an experience I'll never forget. Things happened there that I can't talk about on my blog. I don't want to offend anyone who reads it. In case you can't tell, I don't get offended very easily. Life's too short, I mostly just laugh!! The next day Adam and Miles took me to Rodeo drive. I planned on doing some serious shopping at Juicy, but after 2 hours of trying to find it, I only had 15 minutes. I bought some earrings, a bracelet, and some adorable socks that say smells like couture. I love Juicy, just in case you didn't know. The guard got mad at me because I kept taking pictures in there. They had a Juicy Couture Barbie that I wanted...I'm hoping my mom reads this for a Christmas idea!! ha ha! I collect Barbies in case you didn't know! I'm a typical girl!!

So after my quick shopping spree, we had to go back to LA for Wicked!! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It was absolutely amazing. It was so funny. Then when it's over, you kind of want to cry because it's that good! Defying Gravity and Popular were my favorite!! After Wicked, we were walking around Hollywood trying to find a good restaurant/ bar to go to and this drunk girl walked in front of us and totally fell in slow motion and landed right on here face. She had a dress on and I got a funny picture of her and her panties. I'm thinking about getting a job as a paparazzi! She was hilarious. The trip just kept getting funnier and funnier. We went to a piano bar for dinner and the customer service was exceptional. The cast of Wicked went there for the after party. It was fun! Well, that's the gist of my LA trip, thanks again Adam!! I had so much fun!! Only 20 days until we leave for the Caribbean. I'm sooooo excited. I seriously can't wait. Oh and for the pics that require some explanation, mostly it's just one. Adam gets crazy when he drinks and took a picture of my boobs. John thought it was funny and said to put it up there. Sorry if it offends you!

Ashly's Visit

Ash came home from Colorado to visit for a few days. I'm so glad I got to see her this time. She is such a good friend and I couldn't be more proud of her and all of her accomplishments. I still can't believe she up and moved out of state all on her own. She is so brave and independent I just can't get over it. We had a girls night out on Friday! It started with dinner at La Luna. Very cheap and delicious Mexican food! Then we went back over to my mom's house for some pre club cocktails! Amanda and Ashley made me and Ash try Saki bombs. Sick, we will never do that again. Another one of the highlights was watching Ashley try to shimmy. Funniest thing I have ever seen. It reminded me of Elaine on Seinfeld! Then we went and picked up Renae and headed over to the Paper Moon. Well, Friday nights are not the night to go to the moon. They do shows until 11:30, needless to say, Friday's show had a bunch of drag queens. I couldn't stop laughing. Guess what happened??!! I peed my pants at the bar. It wasn't a little tinkle either, it was full on couldn't stop myself. I miss my friends who do pee their pants (Abby) when they laugh because some of the ones I was with just don't understand that once I start laughing I seriously can't control my bladder!! I think it's funny. Some people thinks it's gross. I really don't care! Ha Ha! Thank God for Amanda being the nice sister she is and taking me home. The ride home was a whole other experience. Me, Renae, and Amanda couldn't stop laughing. It probably didn't help that I didn't have any pants on. I'm so grateful we didn't get pulled over!! How weird would that have been??!! I felt really bad for leaving the bar but grateful that we took a few cars! Fun times. Can't wait until our next adventure!!

Happy Early Birthday Chad!

Last night we threw Chad a surprise party for his 30th birthday. His birthday isn't until next weekend but since I'll be in Chicago I insisted on having it this weekend. I'm really weird when it comes to parties at my house. I feel that I need to be there to supervise. Some people have no respect for other peoples things and it's proven to me time and time again. I hate to complain, this party was for Chad and I wanted it to be a night that he wouldn't forget. So if you read this sorry for complaining! Most of the people that came to the party know how obsessive compulsive I am. They respect me and my house. There were a few however, that either don't care or are just plain assholes!! Someone walked through my house with a lit cigarette. First off, I hate smoking. I think it is the most disgusting thing in the world. I can't help but think people who smoke are dirty. They stink!! What else are we supposed to think, anyway why would someone think that is acceptable behavior to do in someone elses home? Seriously!! Then, as the party was wrapping up someone puked on my freaking couch. The bathroom was 5 feet away and my backyard was 1 foot away. What the hell? Thanks to Brittany for letting me know someone puked so I could go and clean it up! What is wrong with people? Needless to say, after last night I swore we were never going to have another party again but I've decided that I just need to be pickier in who I/we invite. It seems like the people that did the things I mentioned above always do something disrespectful when they are invited to something. I should mention the person who brought the cigarette into my house also puked on my sister at my wedding. She seriously needs to get a freaking clue that she can't handle alcohol and that she shouldn't drink in public! Ugh, I probably should have waited to post this until I calmed down but I'm too mad and I had to vent. The party was actually a lot of fun until the end. You can see by the pictures. Chad, I hope you had a fun night. I'm sorry you had to leave early. John and I love you like a brother. Thanks for being such an amazing friend. Thanks to ALMOST everyone for coming! I hope you had a fun time!

Go Utes!!

Football season has officially begun!  John couldn't be more excited.  John loves football more than anything else in this world.  He says he loves me more, but I just don't think it's true.  J/K!  The game started at 6:00 on Saturday so I went to the gym at 12:00.  As I was leaving John said, "what time do you think you'll be home"?  I said around "2:ooish".  Well 2:ooish turned into 4:00ish so we wouldn't have very much time to tailgate. Well, you can no longer park at the VA hospital so we had to park at East High!  Seriously, 2 miles away from the stadium.  At least that's what it felt like!!  No time for tailgating!!   So my dumb ass wasn't paying attention on our HIKE over to the stadium and tripped over the old uneven sidewalk.  I twisted my ankle pretty bad.  I thought I sprained it.  That's all I need!!  If it wasn't for John catching my stupid ass, I would have totally ate shit and landed right on my face!  I had to laugh, only something like that would happen to me!  I have a little crush on our kicker # 35 Louie Sakoda!  He's been my favorite player the past 2 years!  I'll be sad when he graduates but am pretty certain he'll be picked up in the NFL draft!  The game was pretty exciting, the Ute's won.  Winning always makes the game more fun!!

Final Score!!  Go Utes!

My swollen ankle.  Notice it's my bad foot!

This must have been halftime!!  I was able to get him to take a picture with me.

Our cheerleaders are so cute.  They have to do pushups every time we score!  Poor girls!

United Way Day Of Caring

Thursday was the United Way Day Of Caring!  So I headed down to the Gateway around 6:45 a.m.  There were about 2600 people that volunteered in Utah alone.  My company had about 50 people that volunteered.  We went to the Neighborhood House Children's Center and did a bunch of different things.  The Neighborhood House is a  daycare for low income families.  A lot of the kids didn't even speak English.  I helped out with the carnival for the kids.  They were so cute, it was fun to see how excited they got!  I will definitely do it again next year.

This was my company's banner.

This is me and Melissa with the United Way Ghost Busters!

Me and some of the guys I work with.

Drew and Julie, they gave me crap because I wouldn't paint.  I didn't wear clothes to paint in!!

Me, Maci, and London.   Adorable kids!!

Scott and Ed.  Scott cut the extension cord in half with the hedge trimmer!! Oops!
The HR crew painting faces!!

I couldn't resist!  So adorable.

I don't think Steve knew what he was getting himself into!!
