Look At The Stars...Look How They Shine For You!!!!!

Coldplay was soooooo amazing! By far the best concert I have ever been to! Ashly bought John's ticket. I'm very glad she did! John wouldn't have appreciated the concert like we did! I took more video than pictures because Chris Martin moves around so much it was hard to get a good picture! And I have a new crush!! I'm not completely over John Mayer, I still love him but the bassist for Coldplay is so hot!! Unfortuneatly, I didn't realize I had a crush on him until my camera died so almost everything I took is of Chris Martin! Which isn't too bad! My favorite part of the concert was when they sang Lovers in Japan and thousands of colorful paper butterflies fell from the sky! It was so beautiful. If you watched the AMA's last night, they performed Lovers in Japan and the butterflies fell!! I was soooo excited. John kept telling me I was a nerd. I also loved when they left the stage and performed Scientist in the middle of the audience. If you ever get the chance to see Coldplay, I highly recommend it! I now understand why they are one of the biggest bands in the world!

My new Crush!!

I loved the butterflies!!

Twilight!

I loved the movie so much! Of course the book is much better, but they did a very good job of staying true to the story line! If you haven't read the book, you'll still love the movie! I also loved that they left it open for New Moon! I love it so much, I need to get a life!

I've been waiting for this day for months!!

I am so glad this week is officially over! I know it's only Thursday, but it has been one of the longest weeks of my life! After much pleading and begging (if you know my boss you know I'm kidding) I convinced Mike to let me have the day off. I'm not actually taking the whole day off, I'm working from home until 12:00. It's been such a stressful week for me that my body finally broke down and I got sick. I've even been super good with hand washing and hand sanitizer, but I guess that is what happens when stupid people come to work sick and you're super stressed out! Enough of my complaining, Twilight is tomorrow!!!! Renae took the day off with me and we are going to lunch and a movie!! I can't believe how popular Twilight is. I tried to buy tickets 3 weeks ago for the midnight showing and it was either sold out everywhere close by or way crappy seats. Not worth it to me, I love it way too much. And it just goes to show that I wasn't supposed to go to the midnight showing because I just took some cough medicine and will be out like a light!! If I don't have nightmares. Does cough medicine do that to anyone else? I wake up in the middle of the night and think someone is standing next to my bed. It probably is a ghost, but I'm so drugged up I think it's a dream. One time I caught myself telling it to go away that it wasn't supposed to be there. It was when John was on his cruise to Mexico and I was home alone. When I realized what I was doing I think I called MIchelle and told her to drive over cause I thought someone was in my house. I'm crazy!! It's the medicine, I swear!! Anyway, this weekend is going to be amazing!! Twilight, Utah/BYU game and to end it......Coldplay!!! I can't wait for tomorrow. Let's hope I feel better! And on a side note...from John, the Raiders play the Broncos. Let's hope I'm still friends with Renae after Sunday. Her and John fight for real.

Equality For All!

I'm going to start this blog off by saying that it may offend some people. I realize that there are many different views, sides, and opinions people have on Prop 8. But why should I worry about giving my opinion and offending someone, when others who have a different opinion aren't worried about how theirs might make me feel. I am very much against prop 8. I feel that anyone should be able to get married. And by that I don't mean that someone should be able to marry their dog or their sister. Yes, I heard that comment yesterday. Marriage to me is about love. We choose who we want to marry. So why shouldn't everyone get the same treatment? Last time I checked we live in America, where church and state are supposed to be separate. So why are religious beliefs getting in the way? Whether you think it is right or wrong, why are religious beliefs even a factor in this? Shouldn't everyone be created equal? Is the marriage of a same sex couple in anyway going to affect you? If what they are doing truly is a sin, who are you to judge? This world is full of too much judgement and hate for people who look, think, and believe differently. Why are there people who feel that it is either their way or no way? I'm not blaming a church or even a religion. Because there are many religions that are for prop 8. As the protesters at the rally said yesterday, "the people voted". That's right, the people did vote. And here is what I say to that. Do you realize how close this vote really came? The way Prop 8 was worded, was very confusing. Yes means No, No means Yes. I think people are blaming churches and religions because religion tells you what to believe, they tell you what they think is right and wrong and they make you feel guilty and sinful if you go against it. Some choose to listen to everything their priests, ministers, bishops, and prophets have to say; whereas some can open their hearts and make their own decisions. Personally, I'm glad I don't belong to an organized religion, I like the fact that I can have my own beliefs and opinions and not feel GUILTY about them. I don't believe that being a member of a certain church is what makes you a good person. I believe that having an open heart, doing good things for others, and just loving people for who they are is what makes you a good person. I don't need someone telling me what to believe. I know my God loves everyone. His love is Universal. He does not discriminate. He put everyone here for a reason. I heard some people at the protest yesterday say that homosexuality is a sinful, disgusting personality trait. Seriously?! If everyone was put here for a reason and if these people believe that God is the reason we are here, then God put homosexuals here for a reason too. They are people. They love, feel, cry, hurt, and have families just like you and me. There is nothing wrong with them, they are not crazy disgusting people. They are human beings who deserve exactly what we "heterosexuals" have. What will it hurt? Will it hurt you? Will it hurt your marriage? Will it hurt your family? Why don't they deserve to have the same rights as us? Marriage is a civil right in the United States of America, by not allowing these couples to marry we are discriminating. At the "peaceful" protest yesterday, this man brought his 13 maybe 14 year old daughter with him. I heard one of the lesbian ladies ask him why he would bring her to see him with so much hate in his heart. Guess what his response was, "Shutup you Dirty Whore". He said that in front of his daughter. I was shocked and outraged. It bothered me to see a man use that kind of language in front of his daughter. To me, that showed her that it is okay for a man to treat a woman like garbage. It disgusted me. Now she is going to grow up with hate in her heart because of her parents beliefs. I just stood there with an overwhelming amount of sadness. It took everything in my power not to cry. I am saddened by how much hatred there is in this world. I am not personally affected by Prop 8, but many people I love are. And I will stand behind them and with them until they are treated the same as me. So I ask you, please open your hearts. Put yourself in their place. I welcome comments from those for and against Prop 8. I would really like to hear your opinions on why you are personally for or against it. I will not judge you, I will respect you. The only thing I ask, is that you do not leave any mean hateful comments. I will delete them. This world is full of enough mean hateful things. Please be respectful if you leave a comment.

Happy Birthday Milo!

What dogs? These are my children, little people with fur who make my heart open a little wider.

Oprah Winfrey

That is one of my favorite quotes, by one of my favorite people. It sums up exactly how I feel about my dogs. If you know me, you know that is true! So don't judge me for this post! My baby Milo turned 2 on Tuesday. His birthday is 11/11! Isn't that cute?! So we ordered a doggie pizza for him from Ma and Paws Bakery. They did such a good job, it was sooooo cute! Not to mention the boys loved it! Don't worry, we didn't give them all of it at once! If you're thinking that John and I are those weird dog people, you're right. We love our dogs more than anything. They are our babies. Everyone tells me that will change when we have kids, but I just don't think so. Dogs love you no matter what. When you've had a bad day, they are there waiting for you at the door with wagging tails. They don't expect anything from you, they just love you. How could you not love dogs? I did a post about Barkley a few months back, and got some slack from a few people in my family that I play favorites. I really don't. I love both of my dogs equally for different reasons. But this post is about Milo. He is the happiest, most loving dog I have ever met. He is 100% boy. It doesn't matter if he doesn't know you, he loves you. He rarely barks unless he's outside playing with Barkley or the neighbor dogs. I always joke around and say that if we would have gotten Milo first he would have been our last. He gets into everything!! One day I came home from work to find a whole pack of toilet paper outside. Milo had unraveled each roll. He was running all around the backyard with it in his mouth while it unraveled. Barkley was chasing him probably saying, "mom and dad are going to kill us for this so knock it off". But nope, it was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. So Happy Birthday Milo, Buddah, Poodah, Jimmy Choo, or whatever name I feel like calling you for the day! I hope we have many many more years together!!

So Beautiful!

The other morning I was running through the house getting ready for work like a mad woman. In fact, I was brushing my teeth while trying to get dressed and finish my hair. I ran downstairs and just happened to look out the window. I am so happy I did. There was the most beautiful sunrise. I'm glad I stopped for a few minutes from my hectic morning to stop and see this. It's just another reminder to me of how beautiful life is and how often we take it for granted.

Finally!!

For our 3 year anniversary, John and I went on a 7 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. It was amazing! We had so much fun. We cruised with Royal Caribbean on Freedom of the Seas. If you ever have the chance, this is one of the most amazing ships on the sea! We went to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. I got a little worried before we left because there was a hurricane right where we were supposed to go. The cruise that left before us got rerouted. I would have been okay being rerouted to any where but Jamaica!! But luckily we didn't because the weather was absolutely perfect!! The first day on board, we were super tired because we took the red eye to Miami. So we went and got a few cocktails, went to the welcome aboard party, did the muster drill, and then we went to bed! The 2nd day we laid out and played bingo!! I won almost $200 and a free game of bingo!! I never win playing bingo so I was super excited! Then we had a private lesson on the flowrider!! Holy Shit!! Luckily we were the only people that signed up for a lesson that night! You can have up to 8 people, but we got super lucky and it was just us! Let me just tell you, that thing kicks the crap out of you! I had bruised ribs, bruised knees, whiplash, and it ripped part of my toenail off! It is sooooo fun though! If you ever get the chance, you have to try it! Girls beware though, wear board shorts and a t-shirt. The water goes so fast, it rips your clothes off! Luckily there were only a few people watching! hehe!
The 3rd day we went to Puerto Rico. For our excursion, we had a tour of the city. So damn boring! I seriously ran off the bus when the driver asked if anyone wanted to get off and go shopping! Then we went to Senor Frogs! If you have ever been there, then you know about the Yards!! We got really drunk and hyper! The fourth day we went to St. Thomas. This was by far my favorite place we went. St. Thomas is absolutely beautiful!! The water isn't blue, it's turquoise. They have really good shopping in St. Thomas as well! I found the MAC store!! haha! Hey, at least it's duty free! That's what I told John anyway. We saw iguana's everywhere we went. I am terrified of reptiles, always have been. When we saw the iguana in St. Thomas I was trying to figure out which way I could go to get away from it. We were on this huge flight of stairs and I looked down and there were these two lizards (I'm guessing a boy lizard and a girl lizard) and one was trying to get away from the other. They almost ran across my feet. I took off running down the stairs. The stairs are very old and uneven. I still can't believe I made it down them without falling! When John caught up with me, he said, "I didn't know you could run"! Funny what you can do when your adrenaline kicks in! Our 4th day we went to St. Maarten. Also very beautiful but the people are very mean and it's kind of dirty. I find it funny that they call themselves the friendly island because that they are not! We went to Orient beach, by far the most beautiful beach I have ever been to in my whole life! The only thing about Orient beach is part of it is a nudist beach! We only saw boobies, but I couldn't stop laughing! Oh how it would be to be a free spirit!! Totally just kidding!! On our excursion in St. Maarten, we were served lunch. The mean lady got mad at me when I told her I didn't want any meat. She still tried to take my plate and put meat on it after I told her no thank you!! I finally pulled it away and said, "I'm a vegetarian and I don't want that on my plate!" I got a little upset! The 5th day, we laid out some more and just relaxed. The 6th day we got massages, laid out, played more bingo, and I took 3rd place in a slot tournament and won another $200 dollars! John kept telling me how lucky I am. If I would have taken 1st place, I would have won another free cruise! Now that would have been lucky!! Our ship had so much to do! We went to a ton of amazing shows, had amazing food (and drinks), and just had a lot of fun! We can't wait until our next vacation!! If you have any suggestions on where we should go, please let me know!! I kept telling John this was going to be our last big vacation before we have kids, but now that he's back in school I think the kid thing will have to wait a few more years! It's my trick to get what I want!! haha! We will see though!
